TURACO LODGE

Turaco Lodge is situated within the wildlife conservancy of Marloth Park, just 15 minutes drive away from the Crocodile Bridge Gate into the Kruger National Park.

We are privileged to experience wildlife at close quarters, since the animals of Marloth Park are used to having people around and they are not at all skittish. You will see giraffe, zebra, warthogs and lots of different species of buck, to mention just some of the animals, on a daily basis, up close around the lodge and while walking through Marloth Park. Some visitors are lucky enough to get a rare sighting of cheetah, leopard or hyena as these animals travel through Marloth Park and occasionally stay for a while.

The birdlife is amazing! If you are a bird watcher, a "twitcher", or just love birds, then you have got  to visit Marloth Park, where a really wide variety of bird species has been recorded and you can experience the magic of the KNP just by walking or driving along the northern boundary fence of Marloth, which runs along the Crocodile River. Elephant, hippo and crocodiles are common sightings here. Bring your camera!

Your dinner, delicious South African food, is served buffet style and you can choose to eat on the deck under the stars or in our comfortable dining room. We are sure you will leave the table well satisfied! We have a range of house wines to complement your food – feel free to ask for the list.
